Biography
Let me Introduce myself…
My name is Heidi LaRue Johnson and I’m a Christian girl who enjoys life. I have the great pleasure of being a wife to a bearded brute who came into my life in 2012. My biggest blessing is to be the mother of 4 grown children (a job that never ends). I also have two lovely step-children who are grown, and I am so happy I get to be a part of their lives. I’m a nail tech two days a week, a hospice chaplain two days a week, and a barista at my daughter’s coffee shop when needed. When home (which seems like almost never), you will find me at the end of a broom sweeping up dog hair or hiding out in my girl-room writing (I’m currently working on a women’s in-depth Bible study). I fell madly in love with the Lord about 25 years ago and I just can’t stop pursuing him, because, Lord knows, he pursues me! I got to the end of myself and decided to go to college for more religious education. I completed my bachelor’s degree in religion in 2021 from Liberty University.
After moving to a new town in Montana 5 years ago, I still find myself trying to feel at home. I miss my people for so many reasons but I am enjoying the new friends who have come into into my life. When I first moved here I felt a bit lost and anticipatory at the same time. I asked myself, “What do you do when you just want to talk about Jesus and teach someone that new thing you just learned in school, but you don’t know a soul in your new town?” Well, the answer is…you guessed it! You write a blog.
My happy place is in the pages of the Bible and I love talking about it, especially with someone who is just beginning their walk. I love to contemplate their questions and search for answers. I also love to see God working in the world around me and I feel privileged to notice. So, don’t be surprised if I open my heart to you, about the things God allows me to see.
Blessings to you and hope for a joy-filled life,
Heidi
P.S. Be patient with me, I’m a sinner, I am still learning, and I’m usually covered in dog hair.
